According to a well informed source Nokia will announce a new Application store at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 09 taking place in Barcelona next week.
According to
Eldar Murtazin an industry insider from mobile-review.com, Nokia's App Store for Symbian S60 devices is already up and running in close mode while the company is working hard to finalize it as soon as possible.
At first glance, for now, the app portal looks so so, there is some confusion. But they are trying, polishing it and a lot has changed for the better in a matter of days. A right step in a right direction… And the distribution and revenue sharing model between app makers and Nokia looks very attractive.
It is still unclear if this new App Store will come as an update of the current Nokia Download application or if it is a new service that will replace the old one.
Stay tuned, we will have more information on the subject next week as the MWC 09 debuts in Barcelona.
