Xbox 360 outsold PS3 and Wii in Japan

Here is something you don't read everyday, the weekly video game system sales for Japan, is now out and Xbox 360 outsold both Nintendo's Wii and Sony's PlayStation 3. Microsoft's system is not that famous for its high sales in the specific county. Xbox 360 exclusive RPG game Star Ocean: The Last Hope from Squere-Enix was the reason which changed the figures for this week numbers.

The game along with many Xbox 360 systems, sold more than 160,000 copies its release week.

Following is the full list of this week's video game system sales in Japan:

1. DSi: 41,839
2. PSP: 29,552
3. Xbox 360: 25,334
4. Wii: 16,973
5. PS3: 16,149
6. DS Lite: 9,975
7. PS2: 5,029

It´s a nice thing that games like Deca Sports, which sell hotcakes in Europe/N.A., don´t sell in Japan. Not saying there aren´t, but not in this rate anymore. Also, isn´t the Wii reaching it´s saturation limit over there? I mean, since it´s a family entertainment console then 8 million families own it. That´d be a population of 24 million people (3 members per family). DS has sales of 26 millions over there and it´s meant for 1 person.
