Microsoft to release final version of Internet Explorer 8 today

Time for some breaking news, as Microsoft announced that today the company will offer for download the final version of Internet Explorer 8!
Internet Explorer 8, the browser that will come standard with Microsoft upcoming Windows 7, its been in Beta for long time now, letting Mozilla's Firefox, Google's Chrome Apple's Safari and Opera Browser making as much noise as possible.

IE8 will be available in 25 languages from http://www.microsoft.com/ie8 starting at 12:00 noon today March 19.

Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 Now available

Mozilla released another beta, and hopefully the last one before Firefox 3.1 hits is final version as Firefox 3.5.

Here is the change log from Beta 2:

Google Chrome coming to Macs

Its been a while now since Google's first attempt to enter the Internet Browser market. While Google's Chrome is only currently available for Windows based PCs, many Mac users are complaining and asking for a Mac version of the program.

According to this blog Chrome for Mac is under development. They even provided the first picture of Chrome running on Mac. Lets wait and see how long is going to take until Mac user will be able to put their hands on Google's Internet browser.

Skyfire 0.9 now available with Facebook and Twitter support

The next major beta release of Skyfire just went up a couple of hours ago. Windows 7 Build 7032 first info

As Microsoft's Windows team is hard working to move Windows 7 from beta 1 to RC release, another Beta leaked.

Windows 7 Beta build 7032 made its appearance in the web. Not many changes are noticed in this new release. Most important changes is that this build now includes Internet Explorer 8 RC1, new Home Group icons, new themes and new wallpapers. The UAC changes that Microsoft promised is still not available in this beta, we will probably see them when RC release will be available.

Nokia will announce new Symbian App store at MWC 09

According to a well informed source Nokia will announce a new Application store at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 09 taking place in Barcelona next week.

Apple is proudly celebrating a breakthrough for it's popular App Store. The very popular iPhone services scored another record. As Apple's current homepage displays the App Store has more than 15,000 applications of any interest, ready for download plus they mention that over 500 Million Downloads already is been served. That becomes even more impressive when we consider that the App Store is only six months old, it was first launched at July 11th, 2008, back then Apple was "only" able to offer about 500 applications.

On a special event in London UK, Nokia officially announced in detail the latest addition of it's Symbian based S60 family.

S60 5th edition is officially here with many additions over S60 3rd edition, no you didn't missed 4th edition, Nokia skipped the number 4 as it is unlucky number to some Asian territories. The major new feature of the newly S60 5th edition is tat now the OS supports and it is been specially optimized for Touch Screen devices.

Skyfire the new Mobile Browser that promises full Internet just like your desktop on your mobile device just entered Open Beta and released a new update version of Skyfire v0.8.

Mozilla released Firefox 3.0.2 just a couple of days ago.
Go and grab this one, either by using the build in Firefox Software Update or from the link bellow, as it patch many security issues and fixes many other stability issues from previews versions.

Nokia to buy Symbian - S60, UIQ and MOAP to merge into one platform

We have some HUGE news today as the leader in the mobile market, Finnish Nokia, it has launched a cash offer to acquire all of the shares of Symbian Limited that Nokia does not already own, at a price of EUR 3.647 per share. Nokia currently owns 47.9% of Symbian and the approximately rest of 52% of Symbian Limited shares it does not already own will cost about 264 million Euros.

Nokia has received irrevocable undertakings from Sony Ericsson, Ericsson, Panasonic, and Siemens to accept the offer, representing approximately 91% of the Symbian shares subject to the offer. Nokia also expects Samsung to accept the offer.

Firefox 3.0 is a reallity and Mozilla manage to made a Guinness record by atracting more than 8,000,000 downloads the first 24 hours after Firefox 3.0 was available!

Firefox 3 was first available on June 17th and only took minutes after its release before the crazy web traffic brings down Mozilla servers for about two-three hours.
